My fan used to stay on almost everytime but after a coolant drain, it hardly comes on. only after a hectic stop-and -go trip.

So, are you suggesting that we do a coolant drain...I am probably due for one, I am running 69,000 miles. I have a 98 3.2. I have the Coolant since last year and have been lazy to do it. Maybe time to do it. Recently I have been hearing my fan running on, even on a cool day....

 

It will not hurt anything if you change the coolant..
