Engine mods and has anyone tried????

Has anyone on here ever tried using any of the 3.2 nsx parts on their 3.2 tl? They both use c32 blocks and i was guessing the only thing differant was the heads and intake manifold and internals.

Wonder if a nsx intake mani and throttle body would work? Or hell better yet, a nsx comptech blower? Has there been anyone who has attempted these options?

If the c32 block is the same bore which it is, im betting we could all swap in the nsx pistons for higher cr.

There may not be much differance in the motors we have to the nsx motor, simple swaps may drasticly increase our hp,

Its just an idea, let me know on your imput.

Oh sheet, here i go again..... Sold the h22a turbo civic to get out of tinkering with stuff, now im ready to take the heads off my brand new to me luxury car. Here we go again, before you know it ill have the interior gutted and it will smell like gas.

Does anyone make headers or exhaust for the tl like a bolton kit?

nah sorry dude, no headers for our car unless its custom made. exhaust.....yes but it has to be imported from the motherland....unless you get universal mufflers or a custom made exhaust or something.

as for engine swap, i dont know if the nsx motor will fit snuggly into our engine bay area. are nsx fwd or rwd? as for pistons, i have no idea...i have a 2.5 so i wouldn't know. you can try and ask your local acura parts department and find out. they have access to what parts fit what parts. i asked them if i can use 3.2 parts to make my 2.5 wheels into a 5 lug and they said yes but it'll cost me 2k bucks. i was like, "oh no hell nah boy!" lol busta rhymes!

NSX and Legend engine might be C block, but they are two different animals.

We have an SOHC non vtec engine while an NSX is DOHC vtec. Vtec is operated by oil pressure, so the oil channels will be completely off if you tried to switch heads.

NSX has a longer stroke too, so you can't swap piston heads.

Finally, a lot of parts (engine mount, intake etc) are different simply because the NSX is a midmounted engine.

The closest engine we have to our own is the one found in the 3.5RL. (Aside from the Type II Legend engine).

Correct. A C35 (RL engine) or Legend Type II engine are your only choices.

A C35 block with Type II heads would be the best for performance.
