Engine Models

Does anyone know the engine model code for a 97 Acura 3.2TL and a 99 Acura 3.2TL

im not sure about the A1 and A2 for the second gen. but im positive its a J32

And no, you can't swap a J32 into our cars.

It wont fit because the J32 isn't mounted the same. Transverse instead of ours which are mounted north south with a differential.

man that sucks. its a honda, engine drops should me all the same like droppin a b18c5 to a eg hatch. it should be easy as long as the engines not an iv-tech

Well thats because the platforms are very similar.

Our 3.2 TL's and the '91 - '95 Legends and '96 - '04 RL's share virtually the same engine. Any of these cars can swap engines/transmissions.

'99+ TL's are based on Accords rather than a shortened Legend.

Yes, we can put an RL engine in our TL's. But you have to have a 3.2 car to start with, the 2.5's have a differently shaped front.

The RL engine is a bit taller (it is stroked bigger) so I think you have to remove the engine cover.
