Hi Guys,

About 2 months ago, my TL experienced a short circuit. It took me nearly a month to figure out where it was and it happened to be from the cigarette lighter socket. It melted the wires that runs from the socket all the way to who know where it goes. I was a bit naive and wished that if I cut off where the wires are exposing, it would help stopped the short, but I was wrong. The only way to get rid of this problem is to replace the entire electrical harness. I needed help getting the part number to that harness so I can order a replacement. This harness is tied to the harness from the center elbow console to the dash and along the passenger side underneath the glove compartment and disappeared into the front of the vehicle somewhere. I'll definitely check the junk yard this weekend. Two months of not being able to fix it and counting...

Problem I'm experiencing:

• Gauges are not lit or working.
• Cannot shift from park to any other gear without using the override.
• Windows are not working.
• Tail Light and Reverse Light is dead.

Replacing the fuses will only work for a short while before the circuit will short it out again.

From the picture, it's the "#25" wire, but I was not able to trace it to see what wire it is actually is. They need a zoom function on the site.

I really hope that it's not the #2 wires, that's $2178.99 bucks.

No one has any issue with this huh? My car is light a christmas tree right now, everything lights up and turn off so randomly.
