Drove a first gen for the first time yesterday

It was a '98 CL, but I must say that I was very impressed with the car. It was rock solid and in some ways I think it drove better than my '02! The interior was top notch - and looked almost brand new!

You guys have VERY NICE cars!!!

Anymore details?

Since I own a '97 and an '03, I'm curious what your perspective is.

Yeah...why are you posting in a TL board? You should post in the CL board.

IMO, the first gen CL is similar to the '94-'97 Accords. All the switches look the same to me.

The 1st and 2nd gen CL's are definitely Accord coupes with some extras

Sorry - I wasn't aware of that difference. I assumed the 1st gen CL and TL were very similar, the the 2nd gen TL and CL.

As far as other impressions, the car felt quite solid and the tranny was smooth as glass. It didn't have as much power, but it certainly was no slouch (3 liter).

The leather appeared as if it might have been a higher quality than the 2nd gen. Did they put leather on more than just the seating surfaces (like in the 2nd gen TL)?

Anyways - take it as a compliment.

Yeah, thanks FLA, everyone likes to hear that their car is still a real nice machine...even when it is almost 10 years old......like mine! I still love my car!
