Question does this seem wrong?

After driving around for a while, my fan will turn on after i turn the car off. If i turn the key on, fan turns off. Key off, fan on. Key on, fan off. I dont get it. Its been 5 minutes and the fan is still on...
I wouldnt be too worried, but my battery is 8 years old!

Fan will run for about 10-15 minutes after you shut the car off. It is to cool the car down if it is too hot when parked..

In my experience, the "key-off, Fan On" feature is not utiilized except after a long highway drive in hot weather. You might want to check coolant, radiator fins for trash, one fan not running, or thermostat regulating steady temp a bit high.

good luck

Hmm, mines only comes on after long stop and go traffic in warm to hot weather, but does not come on after long highway trips...

This was after about 15 miles on the freeway, without a/c.
When i opened the hood, only one fan was on. I unplugged the coolant temp sensor, and nothing happened. I will chrck my coolant level when i get home.

The sensor the fans run off of is the one in the passenger side valve cover. The one on the manifold is for the gauge cluster.

~Cheers~
