i was driving home from school and about 3 blocks from my house i get pulled over by a bike cop . i was like . and guess what he gave me a tikcet for? GOING 1 OVER! speed limit was 30 and he said i went 31! and also a tikcet for no insurance! WORST DAY OF MY LIFE . 550 for no insurance and 113 for going 1 OVER

 

Damn... When they said zero tolerance they meant it!!

Why don't you have insurance, and why is it only $550? I lost my insurance card once and the ticket was for $900+ until I went to court and showed proof that I was insured at the time.

yes it is . its also illegal to ash out the window while smoking but 99% of smokers do it anyway . i just cant afford car insurance

 

Shit, in Va that car would be impounded if you had no insurance.

 

ok... so if you get into an accident and you are at fault, how exactly do you intend on compensating the other party? by going to jail?

 

Consider yourself lucky you didn't get the car impounded and also be more aware of cops around sometimes you can and can't avoid them. Id rove without insurance for at least 2 yrs. and never got caught make your rear view mirror your best friend.

 

Honestly, you deserve the ticket.

Either get insurance or take the bus. Sorry thats how it goes.

I been driving for over 3 years got only one ticket last month for go over 13 ... I pay 370 for 6 months (1 way) (all state)

 

Wow smart... As Go90Go says; you gotta pay to play - if you can't afford insurance then take public transportation. And yes when you're young and want two-way insurance then be prepared to pay or get one-way which should not be more than 600 a year.

take this as a blessing from the cop, hes just doing his job protecting the public. imagine if you got into an accident. how would the other party be compensated for the damages to their vehicle or bodily injuries? you probably wouldve gotten sued for way more then what you're paying in the tickets.

 

ok ok . i was plannin to get insurance but my income is unstable since im moving bakc to california in about 2 months so there is no for sure income to pay for insurance . i guess i deserve the no insurance tikcet now that i think about it but going 1 over is ridiculous

Wow. Im 20, and i pay under $100 per month, and i've had 3 speeding tickets! But this is oregon, lol.

 

For some ppl its hard to get insurence beacuse of the cashflow.. If they dont have it and have money well thats a differant story..
