i can appreciate that, but you will have to replace the balljoints if you run a Reverse Wire as opposed to the Wires for FWD's. I prefer the Reverse look. It basically depends on whether you want to run White Walls or some low profile tires. I actually think some 17" Reverse would look good but u might be wanting the White Walls.

Couple things wrong:

1) Daytons. They really just don't flow with the car, and it will never be "clean".
2) Knockoffs.

In the end, you can do what you want as it's yours.

i beg to differ.....i think he can pull it off. as long as he does it right. and Knockoffs are better than Bolt-Ons.

I can picture a black TL, all Chrome Reverse Knockoffs, and low low low. i think it would look good. as long as he doesn't put dice on the rear view or any Lowrider stickers on it. Oh and remove all emblems too.

Lol well in my head I'm picturing a nice ride. But then again it could look like crap. I might go this route tho bc it'll save me money on the 5 lug conversion and 17" wires will be less expensive than a nice set of 20's.

I guess we all just need to do what we like. So throw some D's on it, lol.

The wheels in your avatar in 17" would be perfect on this body. Even with my 18's I felt they were a bit big.

Unless "knockoffs" means something else to the people who buy those wheels, the word means replicas/copies/counterfeits. While I'm at it, "bolt-on" means something that needs no modifications to fit.

Knock-offs when talking about wire wheels are wheels that have the adapter/hub bolt up to the car then the wheel slides on the adapter/hub and the spinner is tightened and that holds the wheel to the car. Think race cars. And bolt ons are wire wheels that are mounted like regular wheels on a car then have a centercap with the spinner attached. If I wasn't using my iPhone I'd upload pix of the two so you could see what the difference is.

ok, sorry for the late response. I just picked up a Town & Country van that has kept me pretty busy. but here are some pix for comparison.

bolt on -->

knock off --> on this knock off the wheel has an adapter that goes behid the center gold piece that bolts on to the lugs. then the wheel slides over the adapter and the chrome spinner tightens the wheel down.

Crown Wire wheel made the best bolt ons imo and Dayton and Zenith had the best knock off wires (bc their spokes were stainless steel..but both are expensive)

beware of cheap wires tho bc they usually have cheap chrome that flakes. (thank you foreign wheel makers) (ps, my 65 impala was sitting phat on some 18x7 reverse knock off wires. oh how i miss those days)

Knockoffs are unsafe, that is why most tire places will not install them on a car.... Wheels tend to fall off with only having the one wing nut holding them on. Also, if you are gonna put knock offs on the honda, might as well get a chevy pick up and lower it to the ground and get some wires for it too.

Way to classy of a car to be putting wires on it. IMHO.

Unsafe?????????? Who good you that lie? I've had knockoffs on my 1965 impala, my 1982 caprice, my 1999 towncar, and never once did a wheel fall off. They come with red and white adapters bc red goes on the right side and white on the left. This is so that the wheels tighten down more as you drive them. Hey I would love to have a Chevy truck on some wires.

Do it

don't give up on the spokes. I want some 20inch spokes for mine but am too cheap to buy them new. I usally end up with the best wheels for the money on Craigslist. Rest assured some fwd big spoke come up for sale you wont be the only one riding them.

besides if knockoffs were dangerous the DOT wouldn't allow you to have them on the road
