Dash Kit installation questions....
this goes out to those that have installed a dash kit (i.e Mike, and KMS if he still comes around.)
i will finally be installing my aluminum dash on friday and i was wondering how exactly you guys did it? do you just peel and stick or would heating up the sticky side with a blow dryer give me more adhesion and thus better results? i receive 4 viles the size of super glue along wih the package that say primer. not sure what to do with this it says to crush one end which is chalk like substance and tehn apply to surface.this do anything in particular?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the same kit as you, but having a 3.2, I thought it would still fit properly. (I believe the kit was made for the 2.5.)
Nope. Just didn't sit right. I could see the wood grain on some of the edges around the CD player, here ---> \____/ <--- here. So I decided to not put it on.
Back to your question... I would recommend you heat up the sticky side prior to placing it on. If anything it won't hurt and will ensure a firm hold.
Good luck and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

i got it from woodtrim.com for $250 i believe it was can't quite remember at the moment. i don't believe they make it anymore though. i checked their website about 3 weeks ago and it is no longer there. never found it anywhere else when i was looking for it. thanks for the well wishing i hope it turns out good as well. its actually not a perfect match on my car either in certain areas, but im gonna bite the bullet and go balls out. im gonna paint the "wood" black with a spray paint made specifically for plastics, that way it will blend in better with black display controls and charcoal interior. i will post pics as soon as i get it on.
