I know this is a stupid question but do all 1997 3.2 tls have chrome tips. I have chrome tips and I bought the car with them but a friend of mine has a 2.5 tl 1997 and doesnt have chrome tips??

 

Then your friends chrome tips must of gotten jacked/stollen/ripped off his car because I drive a pretty much stock 1998 2.5 TL and mine came with chrome tips... but then again i could be wrong and some TL's probably did not come with them...

 

i have a 96 2.5 and mine came with chrome tips but then i cought some punk stealin one of em

 

i have gold tips on my 97 3.2 i never knew til i was trying to polish em and i noticed chips in it and saw most of it was gold.

I tried to take mine off to give them a really good polish. They wouldn't budge. Neither would the screws.

 

The muffler might have been changed on the 2.5TL. When I changed my muffler the new one didnt come with the tips and the screws of tips on the old muffler were too worn to screw off. I've seen them online is at www.acuraautomotiveparts.org for about $40 for the pair.

 

Chrome tips? ARe those the same as gold fronts?

Seriously though, aren't the muffler tips pretty much stock throughout the Honda line? Couldn't one get them from any Honda/ACura dealer?

I had to get one for my sister's Accord when one of hers was stolen and it looked just the same as mine.

 

heh, I didnt even notice they were chrome until I polished them up with some steel wool.

i matched up the tips at pep boys with their selection and they look better than stock and only cost $4.00 a peice

they look great and have been on there a year with no discoloration
