Check Engine Light nightmare!!!
Check Engine Light nightmare!!!
A few weeks ago I took my 3.2 to the shop to get inspected and emission testing... They replaced the O2 sensors per code that came up, yet after about 20 miles the check engine light keeps coming back on!!! Car was driven with check light on for over a year. Any ideas?
I never take my car for emission testing at a garage. I take it a Test Center and if it fails, I take to my trusted shop.
If you take to a garage-testing \station, who knows what's going to happen? I do not trust garage-auto repair shops who tests emissions.
Here in GA, certain auto repair shops advertise a CHEAP test like $15 (it is normally $25). Then hit you with a repair bill, or at least scares you to getting it repaired. That sucks.
Just saying...beware.

Its my father in laws childhood friend so I'm not worried about getting beat over the head. I'm in PA and where I bought the car in eastern PA you don't need emission testing, but of course here in Pittsburgh you do!
