Check engine light came on...

Check engine light came on...

My check engine light came on two days ago when i was driving...i figured it was a malfunction of some sort so i unplugged the battery and then plugged it back in...and the warning light went away... wut do u guys think? should i go get it checked or wut?

Take it to a shop or parts store to get your codes read... let them know the CEL came on... it should be still stored.

similiar experience here too i think its the sensor. Any veteran here wanna confirm or correct me? . Also how much is it to get the sensor problem fixed ? Thanks

I had my check engine light turn on a year ago, it was one of my oxygen sensors. the part is about 175 and labor is about 75, so i payed 250 to get it done i think it was.

Check engine light

96 3.2 TL emissions recall. Dealer should repair it free. I had the same problem. See a dealer.

I ran my car out of gas and ran the injectors bone dry. Since I was a dumbass and tried to start it, the check engine light is one. Guess I can just unplug battery eh?

Yep, it's probably the 02 Sensor. There's two of them and I've had it come on twice (both have malfunctioned). Dealer fixed it for free. Under warranty up to 150K I think.
