check engine light

I used the instructions from one of the earlier threads. I went to autozone as recommended, they read "P0401--insufficient EGR flow". I pulled the EGR valve off the engine (pretty simple), sprayed carb cleaner, blew it out (all as recommended here--THANKS!!!!). CEL did not go out. Borrowed an OBD-II from a co=worker; cleared the CEL with the OBD-II--CEL is out now. Total cost: $2.50. thanks everyone who posts here!!!

Nice job man. You saved yourself a lot doing it yourself. Pays to know those codes!

and again

well maybe i didn't do so well....
cel is back on. haven't had a chance to get it checked yet, but suspect "EGR low flow" again.

Anyone replace EGR to squash this once & for all??
thank you!
