I have lost my manual and my bulb that illuminates the gear shift drive letters has blown... Anyone know how to change the light buld for the gear shift?

You can just pull off that black cover, it's held on by a few clips. You will have to remove the shift knob to fully remove the cover. Underneath there is access to the bulb, just twist it and remove the bulb holder and pull the bulb out.

 

Does anyone know the size and/or the No.# of that light bulb?

 

1.4 watts bulb just bring along your dead bulb and match it to the new one.. it doesnt matter what size. to autozone or pepboy which ever auto store

 

Remove the black plate only, it comes right up with a standard screwdriver, NO NEED to remove the shift knob or other parts. easiest bulb change ever.
Mine is blown also right now, but it doesn't serve much purpose to me, because of the dash indicator.

 

are you talking about the one in the dash or the shift plate area?

 

easy bulb change my ass... the bulb is not easy to take off
