I was at the drive through window when I noticed an ugly smell coming from my car when I looked down at the needle it was over heating and then my A/C compressor started to kick in and out really fast almost killing the car so I turned the A/C off and the temp. went all the way back to normal. So I drove it to my Grandfather's house and my dad and my grandfather took a look at it and noticed that only one fan is working and that was the problem for the over heating. When I started my car up it started like it wanted to stall is there anyone that can help me out on my major problems.

Heavy load on the compressor arises when you have an inoperative fan. Depending on how long this occurred, it is possible to damage the compressor. Do not run your AC at idle until the cooling fan is replaced. You can run it as long as you're moving 20-30 mph, but not slow or stopped.

Well I also noticed when I was at the drive through again it didn't over heat but the A/C stopped cooling and I had the temperature control at 60 degrees and it was hot as hell but when I took off about 10 min later it started cooling after I was almost at the house. Then I was fixing to go to work at the ball fields and I had warmed it up my dad wanted to check it out and see what it was doing and he turned the A/C on the car wanted to die and the rpms went up and down almost hitting 0 what could be the cause now. I know that the fan isn't working but the A/C

I had the same issue, a coolant flush fixed it. I'd change the thermostat as well.

Well I finally checked all that and went to a technicion and he tolled me that my A/C relay was rusted out and that would fix the overheating then he told me that reson the A/C was kicking in and out to much was because the A/C line that leads into the car was pluged which was putting alot of pressure on the compressor and the dryer I think is what he called it is getting to hot. Is there anywhere I can get these parts for cheap!

If your car starts to overheat like that, turn your heat all the way up and the fan on max. You'll sweat your ass off but possibly save your car (and some $$).

By doing this you are essentially using your HVAC as a second radiator. Not to mention you will be taking off the load of the A/C compressor if it was on.
