Brake Light

My red parking brake light on the instrument panel remains on or flashes on after the car has been parked for awhile.

Pretty much sure the parking brake is not engaged, but it is kind of annoying. Anybody else have this problem? Any solutions?

I had this problem a long time ago in my Nissan Pick up. I just left it as is. But for your TL, sorry I have no idea.

Hmm, does it do that if you need brake pads?

Nah I doubt it, I just replaced my rear pads. My light never came on. I think there is just a button or sensor that is going bad. Its just not reading that your E-Brake handle is down.

yeah i think it's an electrical thing. not sure how to fix it though, i'm sure the dealer's gonna charge an arm and a leg to fix it.

Check your tail Light Panel maybe a bulb is out, cause it use to do that on my Accord when a bulb was out. Or check the brake fluid cause the light would come on in my Civic and Accord when the fluid was low.

Those could be the problem, havent experienced that on my TL though.

yeah, could be low on brake fluid. that showed up on my ride and i just poured in a little DOT 3 and ....VOILA! GONE! it doesnt look low from looking at it but just pour in a LITTLE big and the light shouldn't show up no more. but thats just my car, you probably have another problem like low brake pads.

It's your brake fluid. Same thing happened to me a few months ago.
