Bi-Xenon question

just installed some 4300k's...looks really good. my question though is do i have to remove that little chrome looking piece that covers the bulb once its in the housing. i have no idea what its called. im guessing it helps to scatter the light beam evenly. im asking this because if u look at a picture of a bi-xenon h4 bulb it actually already comes with that cover piece so i wasnt sure if your supposed to remove the stock one and just install the bi-xenon h4 like that or just leave the stock one in and still install the bi-xenon h4 with it. i removed the stock one but im starting to think i wasnt supposed to. can anybody help me with this?

Don't remove anything, leave as is.

I would've left them in, but TBH, either way will be about the same, namely, pretty terrible. The H4-3 bulbs you got in your "bi-xenon" kit are actually too long (just like almost every other PnP H4 kit) and the light won't be spread like it's supposed to from the factory.

I've only had one PnP kit which had the correct length but obviously not the right direction (halogen filament is = while HID arc is ||), and the beam pattern was almost like stock. They were really rare, and cost a lot of money back then.

The bixenon kit i had was crap. it would always be blinding drivers. there wasn't much of a difference when i would swtich from low to high. with the hid kit i have now i adjusted the headlights to point down. I still see more of the road then i would with halogen and it keeps most of the glare out of oncoming traffic's eyes. u can try that.

You need a long screwdriver, and it's the hole closest to the fenders.

Temperature has nothing to do with glare, BTW.

Oh, I thought the headlights were on the car, but yes, that's the up/down adjusting screw. The one in red is the left/right adjustment.
