Well you have to remove all of the belts to get to the timing belt and water pump so I would guestmiate $300-$500.

I hope that you made sure that the belts for the 3.2 because that was mine when I did mine on my 2.5.

I would just double check.

Some of those numbers are the same but I know for sure that the a/c belt is different.

BOO TLIN . go CAVS . well im gona end up selling my TL so im not gona do anything to it anymore . just found out the oil leak was from the rear main, tranny jerks hard when shifting, and my alternator belt just started squeaking .. too many problems so im probably gona sell it and switch to a EK hatch...

^ From this to an EK? Man, unless you're going to throw it around the track, it's a downgrade!

I drove an EK sedan before, and while I did like it for the economy, I'll never go back to a 4 banger.

~Cheers~

yeah .. just wanted a EK because its a gas saver, easy to drive/fix, parts are easy to find. The only bad side of it to me was that they attract attention from the police and that they are stolen easily. either wanted a EK hatch, GSR, or a SI. and no i am not a racer . i just like them cuz there easy to mess with

i was also thinking about buying another 1g, but i have lost faith in the tranny that is put in the tl for the 1g and 2g

Ummmm I'm not sure what you have been reading but the 1G is probably one of the best trannys that Honda has ever built.

If you changed the screen and did a 9x9 drain and fill, you would 100% feel a difference. If you changed the differential fluid, you would also be feeling a difference.

If you take care of the car, it will take care of you.

The only reason why I'm getting rid of mine is because my car sat from 05-06 without it being started and the internal seals all dried out and went bad. If it wasn't for that, then I would not being getting rid of my car at all!

i did a drain and fill on the tranny about 3 months ago and did the differential fluid about 3 weeks ago. transmission is still harsh

maybe i just dont want another 1g because i got bad experiences with this one. if it werent for the leak on the rear main i would have kept it, and got everything else done, but right now my car needs about $3000+ worth of fixing. i also had a deal with a friend who can swap out my tranny for me also for cheap...

but now i just wana get rid of it

Don't forget to make sure your bird doesn't fly out of its cage, and if you think we've got problems with the UAs, wait until you get that MA70.

<- Drove MK3 for a little bit.

i have a feeling im going to end up keeping my 1g . just went to the dealership and bought a new tranny screen+ everything needed to do a drain, new plugs, air filter, fuel filter, seafoam, pcv tube+ pipe.

just found out that when i took my car to jiffylube and they did a tranny fluid drain/fill for me they did not use honda z1 or replace my filter . so im going to just drain out the generic fluid and replace the screen and hopefully it will make my car shift alot smoother . will do the differential soon also... maybe next paycheck .

if everything is good and gravy... and my transmission is a ok ... then i will replace all my belts then i am only left with the leak on the rear main .. and i will keep the 1g

I encountered this stuff at my local parts store that is a rear main seal leak fix. I'm not sure how good it is but look into because it may help you.

are you tlking about this ?
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...uestid=1168907

i read about it ... people say the radiator leak fix that they created works but also clogs up other passageways. and with rear mains, i have not found one who has said it works great because i guess it seems to cause problems down the line and cause a bigger leak after about 6 months . i was reading it and it said that it just makes the gasket swell in order to stop the leak but will weaken it also
