automatic headlights

I always had this urge to ask if it is possible to have or should I say get automatic headlights on the TL? I know it may sound foolish but I like feature.

Something similar: My dads alarm system on his 92 accord I think had a motion thing. So anytime I guess if it was dark or when he turned on the windshield wiper on his car his headlights came on.

It's doable with a relay, but I hated having auto headlights in the Lexus. It was more annoying than convenient, and I didn't like what the voltage drop when starting the car did to the ballasts.

the only automatic feature i would appreciate is an auto off safety so if i forget to turn off my lights, it doesn't kill my battery... i used to have this on my Cressida... after i turn off the car, if my lights are still on, they will automatically turn off once i open the door to get out... i thought it was convenient...

I had that on my old 94 Camry, which was the most basic model. It's actually a very useful feature, and I was really surprised that the TL didn't have that. The first few weeks I would always forget to turn the lights off.

my mom always forgets to turn off my lights when i lend her my car because the other cars in the house have auto lights... even with my optima, those HIDs suck it dry after she runs in to the grocery store for half an hour...

What about the chime when the headlight is on and you take the key out? That saves me every time.
