is it possible to buy the auto-up switch that is on the 2nd gen TL and put it in ours? or they are 2 totally different switches?

DDubb is correct. There are actually two thermometers in our cars. One is that little vent by the A/C control the other is the little round thing on top of the driver's side dash speaker.

i know where the thermometer's are but does anyone know what the two vents that are on the outside of the front dome light are???? they almost look like speaker grills. i was thinking that would be a good place to put some tweeters for my mobile video when i get it.
