Advance Auto Gold Wearever Pads any good?

Need opinion on Advance Auto Gold Premium Wearever pads for our TL's. I have always used OEM.

I have bought a set and am wondering if it is worth the cheaper price. Is it

I have Duralast Gold pads on my car right now and they are good pads IMO. I haven't had any issues with them. I felt the stopping immediately as soon as I got into the car.

Duralast are from Autozone right? They are probably made by the same folks.

Cool, I will try it at least, can always bring it back. It has lifetime warranty, too! So in a few years, I can get a new set!

Now I am debating if I have to turn my rotors, I have a slight shimmy but I wonder with the new pads, it might be OK.

I would turn them so you can "start fresh" if you know what I'm saying.

I would recommend turning them too. Without turning them and using new pads, the pads can wear much faster and unevenly. Same places around here charge $10 per rotor to turn them, well worth the investment.

Ok, I am convinced on the turning. I was ready to cheap out and not turn.

Since I have a few thousand miles to go (yesterday I tore it down and found that my pads were still 1/4" thick) I will make sure I turn the rotors.
