The 200K Club

Finally my car has passed the 200k mark. I want to open this thread so people who have a "qualified" TLs can post pictures... from the cleanest one to the dirtiest one as long as its still running .. please join and post pictures. Not so many cars out there with this age and this mileage can be seen on the roads.

Car is looking good! Your odometer is working again? How does the car perform with the strut bar? And intake?

Thank you guys!!! Im glad that actually someone makes comments on the thread.

Yea the cluster is working again except the tripmeter

The strut bar doesnt do much, actually i dont feel any difference but the intake yes! It improves the gas mileage by 1-1.5 mpg + it gives the car a cool sound (in my opinion) the car make louder sound if you remove the resonator.

According to the previous owner the ODO hasnt worked in a long time. I would love to get this one working again instead of getting a new cluster, I really wish I knew how high it was, P.O. claimed he figured it to be 310-320k, but who really knows

IIRC, people said that the most common reason makes odometer stop working is because some little tooth/teeth broke down. My tripmeter doesnt work either

Mine was like that for some time, but it has worked ever since I took it out and gave it a few knocks.

i think i hit 342k on my 2.5tl, went thru all the d lights but ended up using the d3 light as my last d light which was still working. that was when i traded her for my RL. it was a very sad day. i loved my 2.5tl. its much more roomier than my rl. very reliable and easy fix. the only thing that was pain in the ass to fix was the alternator. had to drill new holes to mount. failed on me only once.

I ordered from this site

http://www.v-leds.com/194-168-158-LED/c506139-1-2/

I believe mine were 6k white. Very similar to this, just 1 LED coil longer

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...38587-1-2.html

Strut bar was from a legend

I would say 5/10

Just a few screws + a little tricky to pull the cluster out

Oh, btw, my bulbs were long. I had to cut the crystal plastic pieces inside the cluster to make it fit. (not hard at all)

IIRC, 2 screws on top on the cluster, and 2 behind the rubber piece under cluster to take the cluster cover out.

The hardest part for me was being very careful trying to not break the vents getting them out.

Agree on that! It was a long time ago since last time I touched the cluster. I forgot the cover and the vents are 1 piece!

Hood struts are from legend as well
