2.5 TL shocks
2.5 TL shocks
hi,
How many people are certain that the Koni yellow 8041-1185S and 8041-1186S shocks will install on a 1996 TL 2.5. I know KK is certain :-) any other takers?
Are there any other parts that would work. Dou you also need to cjhange springs?

i dont ahve aftermarket shocks yet so i dont know if they will fit no prob... most likely they will because the suspension for the 96-97 ex accord is the same as ours ( thats why we have springs)
you cn change the sprigs if you want to lower your car or you can get coilovers and then you cna have any height that you want( 0 - 3" )
i currently am runnin the eibach pro kit( 1.5" all around or sumtin like that) with stock shocks andthe ride isnt that bad, a little bit bouncier than stock... i am going to get coilovers but that i cause i want my car to sit reall low.

those 2 numbers are for the front and rear? i'm asking because i need to get shocks soon and i would go for the koni yellows
Ah so that is the secret! the suspension is identical to the Accord EX of the same year! That would make the CL shocks fit just fine. Why is this not common knowledge? The Acura dealres of course will not divulge this info because it would keep them from selling shocks for $200 apiece!!

why dont you share the wealth kk?

what is the "S" on the end of the part number for? is that used to distinguish between the sport yellows and the regular ones that are painted yellow? i thought the sport yellows are just identified by 8041-XXXX?

KK,
I guess that is only a disadvantage if you want to adjust the hight
In any case i got the Tokicos The are a perfect match of the stock shocks for $500 less than the dealer wanted for a new set of stocks shocks.
Information is power
