1st Generation TL Turbo Set up

My Turbo set up for a 1996 3.2 Acura TL... i think it would work.. wat do you think ? I decided to put top mount intercooler and get a custom hood done with a skooop becuase on first generation the factory front bumper, i believe, wont allow enough air to get to the intercooler ... just brain storming when i was bored

It's not quite as easy as drawing a picture with computerized crayons but you can dream it as much as you want.

top mounted intercooler? i never thought of it that way. kinda like the 2nd gen RX-7. at one time i considered a forced induction system for my car, but then decided against it. (cost) have you checked the Comptech website? they are currently in the testing phases of a turbo kit for the 2nd gen TL's. maybe it's available, i haven't been there in awhile.......aloha......

Top mounted i thought was a good idea because you can get rid of the valve covers. And no one ever said i was GOING to do it... just thought it was a good idea (TurboMikey)

add the fact that top-mount intercoolers suffer tremendous heat soak. WRX's use them for packaging purposes but for the best chill front-mounts are always used.

Hey, with money you can do anything. But in this case i think you should save your money and get something already turboed and work on that. Get yourself a 96 Twin Turbo Supra, drop and extra 5 g's in Mods and you would have a car that no one wants to mess with. And even with the 5 g's in mods, the car will still have more potential.
