1997 TL CD Player Problems

I have a 1997 3.2 TL. The factory Acura 6 disc changer in the trunk skips, even when driving over the slightest little bump when playing any CD. Also, the factory single disc player in the dash will read about the first half of a CD before it begins making a loud static noise. Are either of these problems common/normal for first generation TL's? Any help would be appreciated.

Its quite easy actually. Just pop the fake wood trim, start on the passenger side. Its all held on with clips. There are four screws that hold the stereo in. Keep in mind the two wiring harnesses and the antenna.
