im putting 18x8 inch chrome motegi dp1 wheels on my 2.5 tl theyre gonna have +40 offset i heard that theyll fit i just wanna make sure ....anyone know?????

 

do you plan on lowering the car at all? If you dont lower the car at all they should fit. They may be flush with the fender (not allowing for lowering without rubbing issues) or may stick out a little with a width and offset that high.
I had 17x7 with a +40 offset and when i got my car lowered i had a camber issue and wasnt able to adjust the camber on the front because of the offset of the wheels not giving me enough room between the fender and the tire.
I was lowered on the eibach sportline springs which got me close to 2" lower.
