Temperature sensor issue?

The last couple of mornings as I drove the work (auto temp set to 72) I noticed the heat kicking in a bit more than usual (can feel the intensity, outside temp probably 56-58). Before it would start off with mild heat and then turn colder when the set temp is reached. On both situations, turning the auto off/on seems to have fixed the problem. Not sure if this is due to one the exterior temperature sensors going bad. Later in the day seems to be fine but outside temperature is also higher by then (70-78). Any ideas? How much would something like this cost to fix? Thanks.

Remove the terminals on the battery, that might reset it. Write down your radio/navigation anti-theft codes first.

If that doesn't work, it might be a temperature sensor issue. Possibly the interior one to the right of the steering column.
