I have a Acura RL 2002 sedan.
Okay so i checked everything i can think of...i started having problems with my tail lights and my passenger front marker light. After 1 week of driving my car other things started failing, all of the back lights went out on my car "Everything" Then it was put on a computer so i had to replace the following things. I had to replace headlight switch,multiplex control unit, shift lock solenoid,relays,light bulbs,alternator,battery,tail light relay boxes, After replacing the stuff i mentioned. My brake lights,signals,hazards are now working but my tail lights still aren't working. All of the relays & fuses/bulbs are good but i still don't know why my tail lights don't work. my cigarette lighter doesn't work, back seat ceiling interior lights don't either. Does anyone know what it can be??? please i really need some help thank you very much if you can help.

 

Oh and license plate lights don't work either.

Perhaps one of the relay in the engine bay fuse box went bad?

 

What about your parking light? If it is not working too,then it is the fuse in your engine bay.

 

does your horn work? There is a fuse under the hood that connects the horn, tail lights and shifter. I had to replace my horn that is underneath the air cleaner. 1997 acura 3.5rl

 

did you fix the tailight issue please let us lnow

 

i have tried everithing from replacing switch bulbs checking connectors ground etc

 

I had the exact same issues. So I’m currently getting mine fixed on my 2002 Acura RL. It turned out to be a broken wire located under the drivers side tire. Hope this helps anyone still struggling to find the cause.
