Remote unlock fob somehow bypassed double-press security

This is a weird one because normally complaints are that the remote/power locks don't work at all. In my case, it is just working incorrectly.

As per the manual, pressing the remote unlock once should only unlock the driver door; two presses unlocks all doors. However, when I press unlock, the driver door unlocks, and then the rest of the doors follow about a half second later. No second press is required. I have tried two different remotes, and both do the same thing.

The only that has been done recently was a stereo swap. Not sure if it started happening after or if I only started noticing it after, but it has worked correctly at some point within a month of the swap. I don't know why that would affect anything, but maybe it did. Is it possible that one of the extra wiring harnesses somehow interacted with it (the only one I remember not using was steering wheel controls, but it's possible that there was another)? Again, the remote works, just not the way it's supposed to. Somehow it has managed to bypass the double-press security feature.

The car is a 1996 Acura RL base model, so there aren't any fancy features that I can think of that might have caused it.
