New DIY Teaser Pictures

So, I won't have this up for quite a while, but I'm hoping to finish this in maybe 2-3 weeks.

Hint: Hard Disk to DVD conversion.

Why is that 98 AC unit buttons layout is totally different from my car? Lol seriously, I have the Auto and Off button on the left side if you are looking straight at it. I don't know if the newer model AC unit is going to plug into the 96-98 harness because the rear defroster is integrated to the AC on 99+. BTW, is that you or your gf in the pictures lol.

Assuming you have the same year model as me, it's just for some reason the navigation units have them switched around. I only know that because my car originally didn't have the navigation and it took a while to get used to to have them 'backwards'. I'd be curious to know if anyone has tried a Nav AC unit on a non Nav car, or vice versa, particularly if they had any magic blue smoke come out, too.

I think I might have to cut out a part of the trim to install my rear defroster switch, but it would look odd. I'm hoping to get some AC unit wiring diagrams for both versions sometime soon here.

And no, that's not me in the pictures!

Wow, I'm diving into these wiring diagrams, and I'm confident I can do it, but gosh, it's messy.

No wonder a user on another forum (I think it was 97_RLer, though) wanted to only release the process with the sale of his spare units.

I guess the point being if I get this done, you guys better be damn grateful!

Progress goes well. Hope to be done tomorrow. Expect DIY later this week.
First test will happen tomorrow or the day after.

FYI-You can swap positions of the hazard light switch and the fog light switch just by moving them. Makes it much easier to find/hit the fogs when needed.

Oh my God, I'm so pumped! I got the system operational!

Final install and cleanup will occur tomorrow, also 95% of the DIY is written.

Check this out!
