I need a new fender for my 04 RL, I found one but it shows that it fits the 96 - 03, and the one for 04 has a different part number. I'm not aware of any body changes in 04, I was hoping someone knows if the older fender is compatible. Thank you.

 

Try a pick and pull junk yard or www.certifit.com. Maybe even ebay.. I have a 97 rl wanted to make look like the 2002 and they told me I had to change the hood fenders bumper lights even the radiator support idk if any of this helps but good luck

 

Fenders for '99 - '04 should be the same.

No, in 2004 the instrument cluster got an update that not only has different aesthetics than previous models, but it also, upon ignition, will cycle the gauges to their max readouts and down again.

The radio, and likely navigation system are different as well because they integrate voice command technology.

 

Yep, virtually everything electronic in the '04 RL is unique. You would have to swap out numerous modules and wiring harnesses. Much cheaper to just buy an '04.
