possible abs problem
i know i should go to the dealer, but they are 2 hours away.
i have noticed a couple times after i pull out going downhill after moving about 20 feet or so, the crunching noise of the abs activating.
this is pulling out slow and the brakes are applied gently and the conditions are dry.
this has only happened 3 times in the past 2 months. the 1st time i wasn't sure what it was.
maybe it was the sensor prematurely activating.
the car is beyond the 4 yr 50k warranty but i bought it about a year ago and i know they give you an additional 12 month 12k warranty along with the 7 yr 100k powertrain.
i am wondering if it is really a problem or just something dumb the abs doesnt process correctly???

Is it just a noise or is there any pedal kick/feedback?

Ok, sounds like the pump is doing a self diagnostic. In my TL, its noticeable (as it does it once after starting up, thats normal) and only does so when you exceed 5 mph in any driving gear (including reverse).
On the RL, I assume the setup is very similar (if not identical, my car shares MANY parts with the RL) but I've never heard it in any test drive I've been in.
Turn on your car, drive past 5 mph and listen for a pump noise.
