Sometimes there is a green blinking light at the top of the speedometer and the key won't work. I will cut off, sometimes take the key out and do the 3-4 times, then the light cuts off and then the engine will turn over.

Anyone else experienced this?

 

My 96 is doing this sometimes and I was told by a good mechanic that if your battery voltage is low it may not sense the key.Try a fresh battery of a high capacity-800cca.When I mean low voltage this is the voltage the battery has when the car is off.Should be around 12.5volts.As batteries age the voltage gets a little lower around 12.0.This doesn't seem like much but the Imobilizer circuit is very sensitive.Or a bad solder joint on the main relay.
