Sometimes I can't get it to turn after the initial quarter turn to engage starter.
I tried spraying with Super Lube but no real difference.

 

Has anyone had to replace their ignition switch??

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying is the problem, but is this it:

you turn to ON and the dash lights come on fine

you turn it again to start and nothing happens? This is a common RL problem and it has to do with the security system being slow. If you slow down your turns from ACC to ON to start, it'll be fine.

If this is the problem and the key is actually sticking, then I have no idea.

 

It won't turn all the way. Not electrical but mechanical. I have to push in and play with it a bit to get it to the start mode.

 

Couple thoughts..... Have you tried a second key? Sounds like a problem I once had with a reman key. Does moving the steering wheel have any affect?

 

It seems to happen with either key. Haven'y tried the steering wheel but pushing the key forward sometimes helps.
