I just got silverstar high beams, and 10k low hid beams for my car. Only problem is I cant figure how to put them in. How do I get the headlights out? I cannot remove the headlight housing. I got the 2 screws on top, and removed the one visible screw on the bottom and it was just kinda loose. How can I remove these housings to install the new lights?

 

I got it done! I needed to remove the battery, and the air intake. No bumper removal needed! Looks way way better!

Here Ill give you some extra info then. You remove the air intake, battery, and may need to remove the anitfreeze resivoir next to the battery. Then you can reach the bulbs from the back. Yo will no longer need to remove the bumper, taking out the housing is a pain. Just make sure you have the stereo + nav code when you take out the battery.

 

u said u used 10k for your lights, whats the diffrence between 10k and 5000k or even 8000k....?......

 

10k or 10000k is bluer than the stock 4500k. 12000k and they start to turn purple. It is just the temp color in the Kelvin temp scale. betewwn 10k and 12k is the bluest color. My lights arent any brighter, in fact they arent quite as bright.

 

i got the 12000k on my car and its still blue but that kinda darker blue it loooookkksss wayyy better than stock i have pictures up soon

 

yeah 10 and 12 do look way better. I did see some gross purple ones once they were 16k and dark purple.
