Adding a connection for a Ipod 04 Rl w/Nav?

Adding a connection for a Ipod 04 Rl w/Nav?

I have searched through alot of the other threads none seem to answer this question. Is it posdsible to add a Ipod connection to 04 Rl with Nav and keep the stock radio intact also can you have control over operating the ipod can someone please help me with this, thanks in advance.

I believe the 05 TL uses the same setup. I havent checked in a while so you might need to double check.


Theres 2 models.

One replaces your xm entirely to use as an ipod input.

The second more expensive one keeps your xm and uses xm2 for ipod (or xm1 I forget)


Might want to purchase local just in case the plugs dont match up etc and can return it.

Just search for acura xm ipod on google and ebay. Look at the pictures of the plugs to see if they match yours. 04 TL and up should be compatible.

I added the parrot bluetooth mki9200 to my 04 RL w/ navi. It works pretty well and is complete plug and play. You do have to get the parrot and another wiring harness, but pretty awesome. Bluetooth, hands free calling, ipod hookup.

I went to parrot's site and they said it was for the 04 RL, did not look at what other vehicles it fit.
