My black key will no longer turn the ignition to start the car. My gray key still works. I called my local dealer and they said I need the red key to make a new black key and I do not have a red key. They said without the red key they would have to replace the whole ignition. I have read on previous threads here that it is not necessary to have the red key. Any advice on replacing my key is appreciated. Thanks, Phil

 

Maybe call another dealer and see what they say. I know the MDX and TL do not have special keys and I have had the dealer make keys for me before.
