Anyone know where I can get a shift lock solenoid for my 2000 RL 96 to 04 shuld work. Car does not release shifter with ig on and brake pushed but the brake lights work Can the solenoid be repaired at all. The part is not available online at all

Is #3 below the shift lock solenoid you are referring to?




If so, the closest thing I could find is #36; 39550-SZ3-A01 from amayama.com for $76.70 before shipping from Japan?

 

I have a spare working one. Dm me for details.

Investigate the problem. Most likely a fuse,so check all the fuses,front near the battery, and under the dash. This has happened to me before.

Did it specifically happen to you with the shift interlock solenoid?

 

No. What happened to me was a fuse was out. Dash signaled "brake light" behind trunk released indictor , if memory is correct. I tried to jam it into gear, but decided to check all them fuses. Fuse 19? The fuse is for the immobilizer (?) linked with the side mirrors. See if side mirror work.but check and replace faulty fuses.
