Thoughts on Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring?
Just wondering if anyone has run the Cooper CS5 UltraTouring or other similar Cooper tires on an RDX. I bought a 2008 base model late last year and need to replace the mismatched Mirada (front) / Sailun (back) tires that came with the car.
I'd zeroed in on some of the usual suspects -- Pure Contacts, Turanza Serenity are my current favorites -- but I've seen a few mentions of the CS5 Ultra Touring as a good tire at a more reasonable price. Of course, 2/3 of the "reviews" I see appear to be Cooper ads. Difference in the out-the-door price is about $225 so I figured it was worth a post here to see what you all think. Any help would be appreciated!
If it helps, my RDX has a pretty easy life. Most of the driving is around my small town...probably 60/40 split between town/highway. Probably in the 10-12k miles/year range. I like to have fun with the car but I also have a 6-month old kid so spirited driving is kept to a minimum. Primary goal with this set of tires is a comfortable, quiet ride.
My gut tells me to stick with my first choice (Pure Contacts) but if the Coopers are more practical I could use that extra $200+ for baby stuff.

I just purchased the set of 235/65R17 for my 02' MDX from www.discounttiredirect.com. Came with $40 instant rebate and $60 Visa card rebate. Based on the reviews I saw online, it seems to be a good tires.
Here's a video review I came across:

And also an article from MotorTrend.com:
