CV Axles

Hey guys looking for some advice here. My 08 RDX has developed a vibration when accelerating between about 40-65mph. Took it by the dealership and they told me that both front CV axles need to be replaced along with the half shaft. The problem is due to the nation wide parts shortage the OEM parts are backordered indefinitely. Has anyone had good luck with aftermarket parts or does anyone know a place that has the oem ones in stock? Ive tried like 3 different places online and none of them are able to get the oem parts either.

Unless the axels are bent, you can probably replace the CV joints alone, which should be more accessible.

Gotta agree if OP wants to keep oem axels /axles. Most replacements I’ve witnessed were due to boots splitting and leaking. Like Dalll1 said ,the joints can be replaced if that’s truly the problem.
I’ve also read the 2nd generation MDX has problems with impeller/drive shaft U Joints causing vibrations . Test : remove shaft and test drive .Not so sure we have that with our RDXs .
To the OP , I would definitely get another opinion from someone who delves into these kind of problems. Dealers have several grades of mechanics.. which one did you get ?
