after starting my engine,when i turn on the A/C it makes a very harsh(loud) noise and its very annoying.
does anyone out there facing the same problem?or am i the only one?

 

No. Take your RDX back for warrenty service.

 

The cooling fan is pretty noisy on the RDX, in fact, incredibly noisy.

Could be that.

 

Is it loud only after starting up or does it stay loud all the time?

it just starts with bang,after that its fine.
i mean to say when ever i push my auto button,the sound comes up.

 

Oh yeah, that is one noisy fan. So noisy in fact that we would not have bought the car had we known. Very annoying, and no fix, just intelligence-insulting excuses from Acura. "Within design specs", "they are all that way", "a much beefier fan than the TL" is what Acura says. To make matters even worse it cycles constantly. My uneducated guess is that the turbo produced more engine heat than they predicted, so they had to slap a bigger fan on make make up for it. It's really a horrible situation and there is no fix in sight. Acura knows of the problem because there is a sevice bulletin (of sorts) that instructs the dealer's service department exactly what to say to the complaining customer. I do have a copy of it which they foolishly gave me when I brought it in with that complaint; it would be laughable if I didn't already own an RDX. Good luck.
