Possible Bad Starter NEED HELP FAST
Hey everybody! We purchased a 2007 RDX with 107,000 miles just over a month ago and it seems that the start has already gone out. We are two days away from needing to use it for a road trip when this happened and I'm needing to fix this quickly if possible.
Let me explain the situation to make sure I am on the right track thinking it is the starter. When we first purchased the vehicle I noticed that it would sometimes take 3 or 4 cranks before it would turn the engine over. To me, that seemed abnormal but it seemed to always turn over. I work from home so at one point the car sat in the driveway for several days with no use. I went to start it and it started to crank up but didn't turn over and you could literally hear the starter losing power. I immediately tried again and it just clicked, it seemed the starter didn't fully engage. I checked the voltage on the battery and it came up low (can't remember the reading exactly). I proceeded to jump the car with another car I own and it started with the normal 3 or 4 cranks. I let it run for a few minutes and I turned it off. Immediately after this I tried to crank it without jumping it and just the click. So I tried to jump it again and this time it wouldn't even start with a jump!
I figured it was the starter but the easiest thing I could think about doing was replacing the battery. I purchased a brand new battery, put it in, and no go, same thing. Just a click when I attempted to start. At this point I figured it had to be a starter. I took the battery back and spoke to a man at the auto parts store and shared all this information with him. He said, it's your starter, no doubt.
I'm a DIY kind of guy but don't consider myself to be a mechanic by any means. If I am given diagrams and how to then I am up to any challenge. I can't seem to find a how to guide for replacing a starter with an RDX. I need help locating the starter and honestly I am not even sure that it is the issue here.
I've got 2 days to figure this out or my family is SOL so hopefully someone is able to assist me with this. I really appreciate it in advance!

I helped this gentleman out in this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-rdx-2007-2012-147/there-any-good-starter-motor-replacement-guides-907788/#post14937908
i linked a TSX starter removal DIY; which I thought would be the same as the TSX shares the same engine, sort of...Sans turbo charger.
however; later in the thread another gentleman stated this:
1. Remove the coolant reservoir from the holder.
2. Remove the support rod clamp bracket.
3. Disconnect and remove the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly.
4. Remove the intake manifold bracket.
5. Disconnect the cables from the starter then remove the starter.

Completed the job. Here are the instructions I ended up using and wanted to come back and share them.
REMOVAL
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then write
down the audio presets.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first, then disconnect the positive cable.
3. Remove the clip (A), then remove the coolant reservoir (B) from the holder.
4. Remove the clips (A), then remove the support rod clamp bracket (B).
5. Disconnect the A/C condenser fan motor connector (A), then remove the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly (B).
6. Remove the harness clamp (A) and connector (B), then remove the intake manifold bracket (C).
7. Disconnect the starter cable (A) from the B terminal, then disconnect the connector (B) from the S terminal.
8. Remove the harness clamps (C), then remove the starter.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the starter, then install the starter cable (A) and connector (B). Make sure the starter cable crimped side of
the ring terminal is facing out.
2. Install the harness clamps (C).
3. Install the intake manifold bracket (A), then install the harness clamp (B) and connector (C).
4. Install the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly (A), then connect the A/C condenser fan motor connector (B).
5. Install the support rod clamp bracket (A), then install the clips (B).
6. Install the coolant reservoir.
7. Connect the positive cable to the battery first, then connect the negative cable.
8. Start the engine to make sure the starter works properly.
9. Enter the anti-theft code for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then enter the audio
presets.
10. Set the clock.
