Noise when starting car
I get a squealing noise on my 2007 Acura RDX that only lasts a second or two right after I start the ignition. Sounds like its coming from the steering or brakes. It happens particularly when the engine is cold. Is this normal? Anyone know what might be wrong?

I get that too..... I thought it might have something to do with the air conditioning. That's the least of my problems with this car. It rides poorly, the brakes seem to be worn at 30,000, and the fan is loud when it idles.

Don't take this the wrong way, but did you test drive and read about the car before buying it? Poor/Stiff ride is heavily documente, I can't comment on the brakes, but the car is naturally loud due to a combination of things.

I get that also! Usually, the radio is on when I start the car so it's not noticeable. But when the radio's off, you can hear this weird groan/sigh that's actually pretty annoying. Like you're bothering the car for waking it up.

Mine is different, when i start my car i hear a noise from the dashboard like electric short circuit and engine wont crank, it happens once in a while regardless if its cold or hot. But engine will always start on second try. I have this problem since i bought my car but when i went to the dealer they cannot see the problem because they cannot duplicate the noise.I guess i just need to wait till it gets worst.

Like an empty stomach groan or farting sound? This noise started a year after I owned the car, and yeah it makes the sound when you start the car. Not all the time but once in a while but it's really annoying because I want them to fix it before my warranty expired.

You need to report it to your dealer so when the warranty expires and the problem gets worts it will still be under warranty. I already asked this to my service advisor he said i dont need to worry even my warranty expires because i already reported the problem but they cannot duplicate the sound that im complaining so they cant fix it for now and also i dont want them to do more experiment on my car, so right now they just told me to wait till it gets worst.
