I started to question the quality of Acura since I heard a new noise last week. It is from the front left side during normal driving. More significant at highway speed. Something like UUUU(high)...UUUU(low) harmonic noise. But it is really difficult to describe. It is annoying. Anyone has similar experience? I will bring my car in sometime this week but I want to share with you first.

 

If you notice the sound is from an outside source it could be wheel bearings but strongly doubt it.

Turbo leak? Speakers shorting out?

I agree, Acura/Honda quality is just getting squashed by these North American built honda's. Go back to japan where QC is highest!

 

Thanks. I don't think it is from wheel bearing either since when I make turns no noise. It is a high frequency noise under the hood on the left side. Really have no idea.

 

how many miles....is the sound electronic or mechanical?

in every honda i have owned...until the RDX....at higher speeds i got the honda whine on the highway, always sounded like it was coming thru the center vents...its more of a whurl/light gurgle sound, gets worse at higher speeds & acceleration, but never bad enough to where i would want it checked out. Happened in my Accords, CRVs, my gf's TSX

My car only has 3600 miles on it. I believe it is a mechanical sound not electronic. The sound is from left front side not in the center. It is not so loud, but annoying. As I said, it is like harmonic noise which drives me nuts.
