Intermittent whistling noise RDX

09 RDX Tech with 8000 miles. Experiencing intermittent whistling noise when going past 60 mph and windy. Dealer unable to fix as they did not hear noise when they took road test. The whistling sound is high pitched and would last about 10 seconds each occurence and probably happens when wind is blowing at a certain direction. Has anybody experienced similar problem?

Thanks for the quick responses, folks. Have you tried to have it fixed, or are you just letting it ride. I can't help but feel annoyed to have to live with this issue coming out of a premium car.

i did a bit more analysis last night on this whistling sound, ie, drove the car out on the highway. it seems like the whistle only occurs when the sunroof is in tilt position, at least in my case. once i have the sunroof closed the whistle went away.

wonder if having the sunroof deflector will help alleviate this sound.

I get the high pitch whistling noise when going over 65 mph with the "inside air" on. I think the wind pressure pushes through the gate that closes off outside air. When I turn off the inside air and get outside air coming in...no more noise.

I agree with chipt911...

I also notice this whistling noise with the "inside air" on.

I had this same problem. It was only at 65MPH or more with the recirculate button on. They ended up replacing the blower motor or something like that under warranty. Problem was solved.
