Interference causing VSA to light up?
Interference causing VSA to light up?
This problem may be a lot more generic, but is happening on the 2008 RDX I just bought. 100k and in beautiful condition with no known issues.
First time my wife drove it to work was last Monday. The VSA lit up on the way to work about 12 miles into her commute and she was really concerned. I told her it was not an emergency and would reset when she restarted the car.
Didn't happen again until two days later (Wed), at the exact same spot on the freeway.
Didn't happen again until I went out with it last night (thurs). I drove it around for about 20 miles and THEN headed down the same stretch of interstate, and the warning went off again at the exact same spot it went off for her.
I found out that coincidentally at just that spot and off to the right side is a VORTAC ( Mission Bay VORTAC MZB 117.8 125X, to be precise). Would that be enough of the right kind of interference to disrupt one of the VSA sensors? I've read that you have to jumper the OBDII to get the VSA sensor error codes and I plan to do that this weekend.
