Heated Passenger Seat??

Only the bottom part of the passenger seat in my wife's 07 RDX turns on when you use the heated seat. The back of the seat does not heat up. The dealer said this is normal, that the passenger seat does not have a heater in the seat back. Is this true?? or is my dealer just not wanting to fix this under warranty??? no other car i've ever owned with heated seats is like this. The driver's seat both the seat bottom and the seat back both heat up.

My 07 RDX also only heats the bottom on the passenger side. I asked the dealer about it and that's the way it's supposed to be. The 08 and 09 models have a added a power seat there so they probably get the back heated also.

09 is no exception to this. Only the bottom is heated as well.

The airbag switch sensor is the reason. I would acutally prefer it if the back did not heat up--in the cold I have a coat on my torso but just pants on my butt.
