Front end vibration when under acceleration.

Getting a vibration when going up hill or speeding up. Don't know what it could be .Transmission fluid need changed? CV axels bad? Motor or transmission mounts? 2012 RDX SH-AWD 70K miles .Any Ideas?

Won't know for sure until you examine everything of course, but you'll find more threads on this site about CV axle issues than anything else when it comes to vibrations. I would definitely start there.

Shudders = Transmission Problem?

My 2010 RDX (170K miles, automatic transmission) shudders when I accelerate at low RPM. It reminds me of a vehicle with a manual transmission when it was in a gear that was too high for the speed being driven.
The solution then was to downshift. Now, downshifting my RDX using the paddle solves the problem. But after a few seconds, the automatic transmission upshifts and the shaking frequently returns.
The shaking is most pronounced under something like 1800 RPM and stops when the RPM gets to about 2100 RPM.
I drive with a light foot and accelerate slowly. I can minimize or eliminate the shaking by accelerating more quickly.
Putting the transmission in S rather than D eliminates the problem.

I figure the transmission in D is upshifting too soon and not down shifting soon enough

Anyone had this problem? If so, what was the fix and how much did it cost?

Thanks

KMF

You may also want to check your engine/transmission mounts. Lower rpms are where vibrations would be most pronounced.
