Question DST - Daylight Savings Time Auto Adjustment

Forgive me if this doesn't belong here...

My RDX auto adjusted the DST yesterday, the day when it was adjusted before, now is the first Sunday of November... Is there a software patch, service bulletin or similar that will correct this problem? does it happen in other models? Is the dealer supposed to do this for free?

Moved it to the RDX section for you...

I would imagine the dealer should have an update to reflect the new dates. Should you not get any replies here, I'm sure a 2 minute phone call to the service department at the dealer will get you the answers you're looking for.

Yeah noticed mine changed too. So $200 to fix this, since the only way is through a new Nav DVD.

No, I actually called the dealer and I was informed that there is a way to adjust the date when the time switches manually...they offered to do it for me the next time I'm in for service....no need to buy Navi...

The dealer is simply telling you that you can manually adjust the clock, which is very easy to do via the nav screen.

There is a thread on the RL forum that talks about a free "patch" the dealer installed to fix the DST issue. I haven't been able to find an actual service bulletin though. Maybe someone else is able to find some official documentation.

No, I understood that I can adjust the DATE when it switches over, not just the time...that would be pointless since I would have to manually adjust it a week later/earlier...

I just spoke with Acura Customer Service. There is a free DST only patch availble (since the first week in October 2008) from your Acura dealer. The Service Bulletin number is 07-22

I stumped the dealer with this update, the service person didn't know about the service bulletin and was surprised when it popped up on the screen.

It is a very recent service bulletin, even though the update has been out for a long time. The service bulletin is dated 10/3/08 even though it is an 07 bulletin. So it is not unusual that some service techs haven't seen the bulletin yet. But I would think that they would be aware of the update since it is old.
