Driver door not unlocking

Hi all, my 2011 RDX recently stopped allowing me to unlock any locks using the driver door lock button. It will, however, allow me to lock the doors, including the driver door. The passenger side door button will lock and unlock all doors. Also, the remote will lock and unlock all doors including the driver door.

Any ideas on what the issue is or how I can diagnose it? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the switch is either bad or came unplugged.

Thanks - If that’s the case, would it make sense that it does lock but just does not unlock? If so, what do you think would resolve it? Yesterday, the unlock did randomly work again, but then stopped again on the next ride.

Sometimes the contacts corrode from moisture. You can try holding the switch in the unlock position and wiggle it side to side to rub the contacts together. Don't reef on it or you will have to replace it haha.

I tried as suggested but it did not seem to do anything. Anything else?

My '16 ILX had a TSB for the driver door switch panel, so it is an ongoing issue. I've removed the door panel, but didn't look to see how easy it would be to disassemble the switches to clean. You may have to replace it.

Thanks - do you know if it was the same exact scenario that I described in the original post? Do you know what the dealer needed to do to resolve the ILX issue?

The ILX issue caused some fires and I don't know what they did to fix the problem.
